Mamatha Gandhi, MD

Specializing in Nephrology and Hypertension

Dr. Gandhi is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. Dr. Gandhi graduated from St. Johns Medical College in Bangalore, India in 2005. She moved to Syracuse, New York to complete her Internal Medicine Residency at SUNY, Upstate Medical University. She then pursued her Fellowship in Nephrology at the University of Rochester Medical Center and completed it in 2011. She is trained in providing care for patients with renal diseases, dialysis and transplantation. She is currently a member of the American Society of Nephrology.

In addition to patient care, she is a mother to a delightful boy. She enjoys running, traveling, listening to music, and painting. Dr. Gandhi is on the board for the Physicians Who Care organization and has been actively involved in their charity events in the community. She lives in Birmingham with her husband, Dr. Anurag Gandhi, an Infectious Disease physician.
