Dr. Thind is a board certified physician in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology. Growing up in a home surrounded by physicians (both paternal grandparents, parents, and sibling), she was inspired at an early age to be in the medical profession. She graduated from Vinnitsa Medical University, Ukraine in 1998. After graduation, she worked in rural India as a general practitioner serving the under privileged population. Subsequently, she moved to Brooklyn, NY to complete her Internal Medicine Residency at Brookdale University Medical Center, where she was the Chief Resident. She then completed her Nephrology Fellowship at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio in 2015. After her Nephrology Fellowship she moved to Flagstaff, Arizona and worked there as a Nephrology Consultant for 3 years. During that time she also travelled to the Native American Reservation, serving the Navajo and Hopi Indian population to provide kidney care and dialysis. She is experienced in managing kidney disease with a particular interest in hypertension and post-transplant care. She is also passionate about managing kidney disease through diet. She is also member of the American Society of Nephrology.
To be closer to her extended family, she has moved with her husband and son to Birmingham, AL in October 2018. She is a mother to a wonderful boy and married to a finance professional. She enjoys travelling, hiking with her family, swimming and water sports. She looks forward to getting involved with community and charity organizations in the Greater Birmingham Area.
